people in the united states raise really shitty dogs. what's that about?

@Wewereseeds @paranoid Agreed. Also an uncomfortable percentage of people in the U.S. have been taught to be animated by sadism. See article where a Trump-supporter says, “I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.” This attitude is not at all uncommon, and makes huge swaths of the public extremely emotionally unhealthy.

@activationfxn @Wewereseeds yeah, I was wondering if it is because the extreme individualism of the US rubs off on dogs and affects them much worse since they are "pack animals" at heart. Or if it is just because they are so attuned to human behavior and emotion that it's inevitable as anxiety, depression, and loneliness continue to rise in the US (so they are sort of like canaries in a coal mine)
