Occult Features of Anarchism: With Attention to the Conspiracy of Kings and the Conspiracy of the Peoples | by Erica Lagalisse
"When entire cosmologies are reified as 'proper' only to specific preordained identities, we are effectivley saying they are false to the extent that they do not apply across the cosmos whatsoever"
via Shane Dixon Kavanaugh | The Oregonian/OregonLive
"The key witness in an assault case against a Portland activist was nowhere near the alleged hammer attack when it occurred during a tense political protest last month in downtown, new court documents claim.
Nor have police or prosecutors spoken with the man they say was seriously injured, according to the defendant’s lawyer."
leftism, organizing (-)
left unity is sometimes a cool thing, but when the ends-justify-the-means thinking creeps into projects that are big-tent I never know what to do.
It consistently is the beginning of the end of the project (either people stop showing up or it is fully recuperated into capitalism)
seriously just feels like a couple more cycles of this and I'll be old enough to drop out and wait around to die
recently found myself at a leftist organizing meeting for an event and dishes came up 😑
Overlooked No More: Voltairine de Cleyre, America’s ‘Greatest Woman Anarchist’ | via the New York Times
hey #askMasto: does anyone know of that app/website that was sort of like a kickstarter-type pledge thing for coordinated twitter campaigns?
You set a threshold for people to boost an issue and once the threshold was tripped it started the campaign
I feel like i have seen macc nyc or IGD use it before, but cant find any reference to it on their twitters
Something about “shout” maybe? Or storm?
Does anyone know of resources relating to worker-owned operations?
Books, videos, podcasts?
- retrospectives on projects that failed
- explanation of different organization methods
- nitty-gritty technical stuff
- how to start them
- even just a memoir of participating in one?

This guy greeted the seattle city council (who just repealed the tax that would raise money for our houseless crisis) with a "What's up, Bootlickers" 😂 🖤
follows up with "I'm a father, a verteran, and an anarchist"

We've prepared an Arabic translation of our "Immigrants welcome" poster for the walls of your community.
If you want a straightforward, practical project to help contribute to leftist, anticapitalist, and anarchist movements, then learn a new language. It is without a doubt one of the most limiting factors in our movements.
What is happened in Iran earlier this year? If I knew farsi I could maybe tell you, but instead I just know what the NYT said happened.
